A dedicated Bharatanatyam dancer since the age of eight, Aarya has trained under the guidance of Guru Smt. Bindu Pratap, honing her craft through over nine years of rigorous practice and discipline. Her journey has taught her perseverance, mental focus, and a deep appreciation for the art form. She has performed at prestigious events such as Arudra Natyanjali, MANCA, MAITHRY, BAMA, and Sargam Utsav, as well as the Nritanjali productions Dakshina, Nartana Malika, and Nakshatra. In 2023, she was blessed with the opportunity to participate in Vayuputra, a production by Kalaimamani Madurai R. Muralidharan.
Beyond technique, Aarya has explored Bharatanatyam’s rich history and cultural impact by earning a SAMPADA certification.To Aarya, dance is more than artistic expression; it fosters collaboration, communication, and self-awareness. She led the Bharatanatyam Airband at Mission San Jose High School, Fremont, and has also trained in ballet and tap dance. Additionally, she learns South Indian classical music under Vid. Sri Hari Devanath.
Currently a senior at Mission San Jose High School, Aarya plans to pursue an undergraduate degree in Data Science.
